Writing metadata to PDF files in Calibre
Hi.
I am new to this forum and maybe this question had been asked. Is it possible for calibre to write the book information against the PDF file? Example, if one clicks on properties on a PDF file, the title is "some weird title" and in Calibre is the actual title. How can I get Calibre to write the actual title against the PDF properties? Or this can be an enhancement? Thanks |

asts18, did you ever get an answer to this question? I have a similar question and would like to know if there was a private response.

However, it did happen to me once that Acrobat complained about the new pdf produced by Calibre this way. Acrobat said the pdf had some errors, but it could repair it. |

I believe updated metadata is written to an ebook file during conversion and during the two Save operations. Try a simple Save to Disk and check the metadata. A conversion from pdf to pdf may also work, but it's liable to change the contents more than you want.
