I've cleared all programs from my main user account login, and I've cleared all folders from Application Support and Cache folders under my main identity, to no effect. I have no input managers running under my main user that I don't have running under my test user. Calibre still crashes right after I select a destination folder. I've cleared caches, removed all invisible files that I can find relating to Calibre, reinstalled Calibre, and it still crashes upon launch under my main identity -- even if I'm running no other programs, so that my Activity Monitor screen looks exactly like the Activity Monitor screen under my test user. I am stumped. Thoughts? |

another thing to try is making sure the same sets of fonts are available to both users

I assume you mean the fonts in the ~/Library/Fonts folder; I have none in the calibre user folder, and deleted all fonts in my main user fonts folder; same result, crash after trying to select a destination folder. Are there any other font locations I should check?

Yep, cleared that too. Still crashes on launch, after selecting a folder. Tried uninstalling, reinstalling, clearing caches, clearing fonts, invisible and otherwise. Still crashes on launch, now OS X 1.5.7 too. (Using most recent calibre.)

This may do nothing, but have you tried to "Repair Permissions"?
