Glo no wifi after 'freeze'

Hi guys,
about a year ago my Kobo Glo 'froze' on me while reading, it did'nt react to anything; touchscreen, on/off button, sleep-cover, nothing. The only thing I was left with was a reset with the little pin in the bottom. After the reset the wifi did not work anymore, also I did a software factory reset but that did not help either. Still no cure yet. Anyone heard of this problem before. Could it be the wifi module is broken? Although it's not a big problem, I can still read books and put stuff on it using the usb cable, it would be nice if it was workin' properly.
KOBO Glo, model N613, firmware 4.12.12111.

I had a similar issue but caused by a different reason. The relevant thread is below, ignore the image disk references in my posts.

I fixed my wifi issue by manually installing a firmware, perhaps this might work for you. My last post #13 is the summary of what I did, (ignore the disk image reference).

Edit: Interestingly, I was using the same firmware version as you prior to my issues.
