How much is a Kindle Voyage usually on sale for?

I'm thinking about getting a kindle voyage but I'm going to wait for a sale since the $300 CAD sticker price seems over the top to me. I was just wondering how much on sale do they usually go on for?

I'm prepared to wait for Black Friday or Cyber Monday if its a good price.

If not, I may have to go for a cheaper version.

Here in the UK it's been 20% off (£169 full price, reduced to £135), it doesn't go on sale very often though.

I have a voyage and a Paperwhite 3, both with 3G, both way too expensive but I'm glad I got them. If anything were to happen to either I'd find a way to replace it. These things are just too good not to have.

I usually read with the Voyage but I'm reading my current book on the Paperwhite, not for any particular reason. I find that whichever one I'm using is the one I prefer but when it comes time to pick one I always go to the Voyage. I really do like it's reduced size and weight.

By the way, while it's true the Voyage only weighs an ounce less than the Paperwhite, the Voyage in it's case weighs about half as much as the Paperwhite in it's case. They both have the same Swees case, which is pretty lightweight. But the Paperwhite case is larger and therefore heavier.

I do agree with you that these things cost too much and I'm on a small fixed income so buying them takes a significant amount of saving up. But it's well worth it.

Thanks, Barry. I'm starting to think maybe I should go for a PW3 instead of the more fancy Voyage. I just like the design of it more and the lighter weight but in the end, I'll be looking more at the screen than anything, anyways. Lol

I won't make my decision until I go down to the US in a couple of days and hit a Target. I was thinking maybe then I could get my hands on one and see/feel it for myself.

I'm interested to see how Amazon responds to the market success of the Aura One. The GloHD brought us the PW3, rather than a price reduction of Voyage, but I think this time, prices should be pressured down.

I can't wait to see their response. Hopefully we see something soon because I would love a 6" kindle with the ComfortLight Pro.

I'd be interested in a larger Voyage. Though I am a Kobo fan, I trust Amazon's CS more, and would buy a larger eink from them, rather than take a risk on a Aura One. (Plus Amazon may let me make payments).

I'm kind of curious about that too.

I'm retired and I love gadgets and even though I'm living on a small fixed income my expenses are slightly lower so I'm always saving for my next gadget. Ereaders are always calling me and I find them hard to resist.

Target announced a few weeks ago that they've started carrying Kindles again. I don't recall how many or which models or if that includes other Amazon products.

I have both PW3 & Voyage, got them both on sale in Prime deals online. I had a PW1 for years. I like to see devices in stores first. I waited a while till I got the Voyage, mostly because I saw them with blueish screens at first, in Best Buy stores. When I saw one with a white screen, I wanted to buy it. Then I heard about Prime Day coming soon, it was about a week before I saw the Voyage at Best Buy. Since I'm a Prime member I waited to see if it would go on sale too. It did.

I also got the PW3 on a Prime Deal sale a couple months before. I like them both, I use them differently, The Voyage I read at home, the PW3 I take with me outside or traveling. Since the screens look about the same outside without the light on. I use the PW3 light when I'm inside for an appointment or something. It's pretty rugged and I don't worry about it. I recently dropped it face down on pavement ( cover on ) and it was fine. The Voyage has a nicer screen, and I found I like the page press sensors. I like reading it with one hand at night. They are both nice devices. I just use them differently. I would like to see a Oasis one day in the stores too. I'll need to take a road trip to Montreal to see a Kobo Aura One though. It would be a nice trip though, I like Montreal.

I would also like to see a larger Voyage . I hope they keep the Voyages in the line up, like the PaperWhite's.

With so many of you with both the PW3 and Voyage I wonder if I should just save myself the dough and get the PW3 seeing as how you all could get along with either. If my old Kobo Glo can hold up until Cyber Monday though, maybe I'll still be able to get the Voyage... Hmm...

Is making the jump from Kobo to Kindle hard?? All I've ever had is Kobo.
