EReader with support for many formats, Mainly doc+docx

Is there a good ereader with Carta or Carta HD which supports many formats, mainly doc+docx should be included. I need it for lot of foreign language stuff, and theres almost none retail ebook available in these languages so I need to use custom scanned and OCR books. I had a lot of problems to open such books on Kobo Glo HD which many many really many times freezed and restarted on my custom mobi files and never opened them...

Just use Calibre to convert to epub before putting them on your Kobo.

I would like to skip conversion with Calibre, or any conversion. Its quiet troublesome and tiresome even more when I want to do it for few books not just one. Also the font support for special characters isnt the best on Kobo and Calibre was nat always succesfull converting the input docx.

I don't know of any dedicated reading devices that can read DOCX format. Probably your best bet would be to get a generic eInk Android tablet, and install the Office reading apps on it if DOCX is critical for you.

Pocketbook and Boyue read docx and more read doc. A trick in our wiki to find the answer is to open the DOCX page and then look at the pages that link to that page (what links here).

Probably not, he is responding to a post I made 4 days ago. Doesn't say when he ordered it. Still a pretty quick turn around but not impossible.

I ordered it the same day DaleDe wrote his post. I got it 2 days later. Here in Europe there are quiet many resellers offering it with fast shipping. If I ordered it before 4PM it would arrive the next day heh.
