hi, I have a problem with my kobo, to upgrade memory of 4GB to 32gb when I taked on microsd (sandisk 4GB) from Kobo to put in pc for backup, my pc see only microsd but not files, and backup were not fine.
Now when I put original microSD in Kobo, It not start and I see red led. Please may you send me the file .img for kobo glo hd. I would like with new file .img I can restart my kobo.

ps. I send PM at "davidfor" but I read status "unconfirmed" :-(

hi, I would like know the offset to restore MAC ADDRESS of my kobo glo hd in file IMG, I read offset to restore my S/N is x200.

PS. sdcard original KOBO 4GB, now is only 32mb and if format it, it is always 32 mb, where are 3.90GB? :-)

Of course it was "unconfirmed". Just because you are sending the PM, doesn't mean the receiver is in a position to respond to it, or even see it. And yes, I did see it, but, I was just about to head to bed, so I left it until this morning. I mean, it isn't a life threatening problem, is it? A few extra hours won't matter much.

Anyway, I responded to one of those PM with a link to the image. Based on the above, it could be the card was corrupt enough to not work. But, it is much more likely that you put the card into a Windows computer and Windows does not handle removable media with multiple partitions properly.

And, yes, as has been stated far to many times in this forum, the serial number is at offset 0x200 after "SN-".

Thank you. Tried a few times but nothing changes. It displays always a cover with percentual of read. Removed battery and wires reinstalled software in same sd and new one, tried to reset in all ways but no luck. Any other suggestion?

What happens? Does the power LED come on? Does the front-light come on? It is always a good idea to charge the device when things go wrong. If it is just a flat battery, it usually starts within a few minutes. But, it can take a day or more.

And, it could be a damaged screen. This usually shows as lines on the screen. There are plenty of photos on-line that show what broken e-ink screens look like.

Yes power button works. it switch on and off with red light, but apartg that nothing happens.
