Could someone supply the firmware image for kobo glo hd? My kobo is stuck on book page and nothing I try will reset it, so only option is to try with a new sd. Thanks

@kiasaki: That is a well known site here that monitors the firmware updates for Kobo devices. It is useful if you want to manually update the firmware, but, not if the device is not booting.

Well no such luck. Didn't work. Tried it on original SD, overwriting it and a new one.

Device is still doing exact same thing.

Holding down the top button, red flashes and appears to turn off, frozen screen goes dark. If I use pin reset then it does nothing. I have to hold down the top button again, flashes red and appears to wake device up, light on frozen screen appears after a while but that's it.

If I connect to PC, nothing while the light on frozen screen.
If I connect when it's dark, flashes up as removable with a blue question mark repeatedly so can't access it.

Any suggestions?

What is actually on the screen? It sounds like the frontlight is turning on and off ("screen goes dark"). And the rest sounds like the device might actually be starting. That suggests the screen is broken and everything else is working.

Hello,
My ereader has become practically unusable due to freezes. Also when it freezes it freezes hard (takes long time to get it working again). I have basically tried everything. Installed a new sd card with the old image and I even have a new battery! The last thing I want to try is replacing the old image with a clean one (will this even work?). Can you help me out?

It depends on the problem. It is likely to be a failing SD card, and you might have copied the corruption when imaging it. With the new card, did you do a factory reset? That can solve problems.
