Hi

I tried the new version of the plugin and added the git-hub pref but it did not trigger update to 4.2.1. as expected.

On a virgin ePub3 created by Sigil, epubcheck 4.20. reported this (screenshot)

After using the following pref text, it duly updated to 4.2.1. and reported the same error and warning (screenshot).

If you save the epub, it will force add the dcterms modified tag when epub3, as it is the date and time modified.

There is nothing in the spec about the nav needing to fill in a title tag, but one should exist. The nav is supposed to be machine parseable.

I've attached a new version with EPUBCheck v4.2.1 to first post. I've also added a new check_interval EpubCheck.json setting that allows advanced users to specify how often the plugin should check the W3C website for updates. (The default setting is once a week.) Users can also disable Github/plugin update checks. For more information see the first topic.

Since I wasn't able to reproduce this issue I couldn't fix it.

The error message that you got is usually displayed if Java isn't installed or couldn't be found. For more information on how to fix this issue, please read the instructions in the first Sigil epubcheck topic.

This looks brilliant (I am also a fussy perfectionist), thank you. However I've enabled it and get no info, just the normal "No problems found!" message.

If I run the plugin and then paste to the clipboard I get a message like this

Does that mean there is nothing at all to display because the file is already 100% perfect (seems wildly optimistic...) or am I missing something?

"try adjusting the thread stack size of your Java Virtual Machine. With most Java distributions, this can be done by using the -Xss option of the java command, like in the following example:

java -Xss1024k -jar epubcheck.jar moby-dick.epub"

Do you know how to do that?

If you're on Windows, in the Java folder in the Start menu is Configure Java; run that and you get the Java Control Panel. Click on the 3rd tab, Java, and click View. The 5th column is Runtime Parameters, try adding the -Xss1024k there.

I've never used that so I have no idea if it will work.
