It seems this is a bugfixing update, and I like it

So using an affiliate of 'bestbuyca' gives me the update link... but so does an affiliate code of 'beta', and I'm definitely not a beta tester although that's not from any lack of trying to get someone to let me in!
I noticed though that my sideloaded font (Fontin Sans) is now showing everything using the SmallCaps variant except for italicized or bold words, even if I remove the SmallCaps variant. I think that's something to do with the font itself though, if I use a font without a SmallCaps variant (Fontin) or a built-in font everything appears fine. |

There's something interesting. dhcpcd is started at boot if you have dhcpcd=true in your Kobo eReader.conf. This could fix some connection problems.
Furthermore there's a lowmem.ko kernel module loaded at startup. The name is suggestive. |

I updated my Aura HD but having two issues with the sideloaded kepubs.
1. The line spacing slider is all the way to the left and I still have somewhat more space between lines. I prefer to have text between lines to appear somewhat tighter. 2. The last alphabet in a line is only partially visible. Does anyone else noticed these issues on their device after updating to 3.3.0? Could it be because of Kobo Extended Plug-in? |

When the option is unchecked, it adds a line to the "Reading" section of the config file. So adding "fullScreenReading=true" in that section as well should hide the headers and footers. And the case of the option name is important. It must be "FullScreenReading" in the "FeatureSettings" section and "fullScreenReading" in the "Reading" section. And I just looked at my original post. I said to add the two lines. Was there already a "FeatureSettings" section? If so, add the "FullScreenReading" line as part of that section. Last edited by davidfor; 04-23-2014 at 11:24 AM. |

Works on my Aura.
Yes there was a "FeatureSettings" section already there. Still prefer the page layout produced from the footer / line height patch. |

Do you noticed that there's a trick to instantly see an already opened book? Last page is displayed, but you can't interact with the book. Probably that is a screenshot of the last seen page, since closing book is more slow now.

https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...&postcount=688 It does not have all the patches yet but the ones I use the most are there (footer, line spacing, font size) plus quite a few others. Regards, David |

I picked up the download link from my daughter's Touch N905 so it is available depending on how the roll-out goes. This is is being written from what we "affectionately" refer to as the Wet Coast of BC. Regards, David Last edited by DNSB; 04-24-2014 at 01:41 AM. Reason: Corrected error in which update works on the N905B |
