I tried to post this before and apologise I forgot to state that I am the publisher (Ward Wood Publishing) of Joe Stein, a popular London crime novelist with a series of novels featuring lovable loser Garron.

Joe Stein's crime novels are gritty, realistic, funny and have a psychological insight into the main character Garron that sets them aside from other crime fiction. Garron is an ex-boxer who ends up drawn into crime against his wishes because the only jobs he can do put him in contact with criminals who have ways of pressurising him.

Unlike other crime novels where the protagonist tries to solve crimes, Garron has to sort the crimes out while having to take part in them. It's the only way he can survive and try to move into a better way of life.

We're experimenting with giveaways, and this one has led to more than 150 sales of Joe's books since the free period ended, which is incredibly encouraging. We'll be doing more giveaways with other authors, maybe even one a month. Hard work but worth it.

It would be nice if you made the books available to those of us who buy ePub books at places like Barnes & Noble and who do not buy Kindle books.

We are also working on that, although Barnes and Noble doesn't let UK publishers put ebooks on their system (I think). Last time I checked we couldn't put our books on Nook with them. We have been accepted by Kobo and will have our books there. I think you can download the books to Calibre and transfer them though. Perhaps somebody can give info on how to do that. If Barnes and Noble have started allowing UK publishers to put their books on Nook we'll do that too - we're ready to do it as we're working on the epub versions for Kobo.

For 5 days over Valentine's weekend VG Lee's novel Diary of a Provincial Lesbian will be free (I'm the publisher and editor). VG Lee's novels have been endorsed by Sarah Waters, Stella Duffy and Time Out, and she was shortlisted in the Stonewall Awards for Writer of the Year alongside Jeanette Winterson at the end of 2012. She is also a stand-up comedian and regular comedy feature writer for The Lady magazine.
