There's no interaction with KOReader, but then there doesn't need to be anymore, as KOReader has its own screensavers handling (provided you're not using a SO device).

hi experts :-) I'm on 5.10.2.1

thats why i installed the file: Update_jailbreak_hotfix_1.15.N_install
then i installed
kindle-python-0.15.N-r15706.tar.xz via KUAL MR Package installer

then i installed kindle-linkss-0.25.N-r15715.tar.xz also via KUAL MR Package installer

tried to enable ScreenSaver Hack. But it still isnt working.

i can disable it, so that the normal Screensavers are showing. But enabling the hack is only dimming light and showing the last screen.

what am i doing wrong?

You have a broken image in your pool. As soon as the Kindle hits an image it doesn't like, poof, nothing until the next restart.

I had to recently re-install all my mods as my Paperwhite updated on me.

KUAL launches fine, LibrarianSync works fine (so Python is working), and I can get ScreenSavers Hack to "preview current ScreenSaver" correctly.

It is currently in "Covers" mode.

However, when I turn off the screen, all I see is what was last shown on the screen.

What am I doing wrong?

Fixed it.
Solution: use latest snapshot from the thread that keeps getting linked *eyeroll at own stupidity*

I suspect you will start to have problems again. After reading about issues people have had and my own experiences with my PW2, I think you have an image that is messing up the sequence. I don’t understand how it can be sized correctly and still cause a failure but that’s what happened to me. I used to never have these problems on my k5. I wonder if lab 126 added some instability to make I hard to use. When I use the same images for the KOReader screensaver I never have a problem.
On the other hand, I would be glad to hear if you can cycle through all your images without a problem. Maybe there is hope yet.

I cannot seem to get the Screensaver hack working. Here is my kindle firmware and installed packages:

Device: Kindle PW3 WiFi - 0G1
Firmware: 5.7.4

Followed the wiki during installation:
PW3 factory_PW3_5.7.4_initial
main-htmlviewer.tar.gz
JailBreak-1.15.N-FW-5.x-hotfix.zip
KUAL-v2.7.15-ge3361f5-20190128.

kindle-linkss-0.25.N-r15788

I have "You are Jailbroken" book, and KUAL book and I can use MRPI so I suppose jailbreak is working, something must've gone wrong with Screensaver

Tried ALLOW Screensaver in Helper, tried putting the pictures in root directory and in linkss/ and linkss/screensaver. The image is grayscale and correct 1072x1448 resolution and .png extesion.

The date/time is completely fubar on your device. That's probably one if not the reasons things are wonky.

Also, that log is incomplete. If it's really all you've got, something is seriously weird with the integrity of your device's user storage partition...

Yup, that's all for the linkss part. The device time is probably fubar because I kept it in an airplane mode since doing the downgrade to fw 5.7.4

Do you think I should update the fw through the internet or flashing? Should I try fixing the date?

That looks like the output from a very old and broken MRPI version, or an incomplete one. So either you installed an old version, you mixed things up, or the storage is wonky. Choose your poison

The linkss filename looks recent enough, but without proper logs, I can't say much more.
