I don't get it. Why would you pre-order a digital version of a book? There is no special discount or bonus for doing so, from the looks of it (and the hardcover looks to be their normal pricing, no special pre-order discount, either), and there is no issue of supply problems...

Because the last time I was waiting for a brand new book from an author Kobo took an additional few days to make it available for purchase after the release date. That kind of behavior is highly irritating to those of us who are fanatics errrr. enjoy reading certain authors.
