You mean as viewed from a web browser? It's possible to create your own layout as Calibre just uses HTML templates.

you can get at least 2 that I know of...
On my tablet I use /stanza to get a web page that has icons and different sorts such as "newest", "author", etc. which when tapped give you a listing with cover images and summary.
On my e-ink reader I use /browse which gives the same UI as the "stanza" on my tablet.
I prefer that to the the UI I get with just the IP address/port.
