Amazon Kindle 7" Tablet
Da es sich um ein angepasstes Android-Betriebssystem handelt, poste ich einfach mal ins Amazon Unterforum statt bei Android.

"Konkrete Gerüchte" zu einem neuen E-Ink-Gerät sind mit nicht bekannt. Das Tab ist jetzt erstmal das nächste wichtige Projekt, da Amazon ja auch einen App-Store in den USA besitzt. Das 10" Tab wurde wohl auch erstmal zurückgestellt. Wann das Gerät auch hier verfügbar sein wird, ist auch noch fraglich, da es hier ja noch keinen App-Store gibt.
Alle reden davon, der Kindle4 wird einen Touchscreen haben, aber weiter... |

Spätestens nach dem letzten Bericht über die zunehmende Zahl von Android-Apps mit Trojanern oder Viren dürfte viele Leute ein geschlossenes System gar nicht mal sooo stören ...
Von kostenlosen Apps hat Amazon nichts, Spiele-Apps halten die Leute nur vom Kaufen von eBooks ab. Ich rechne also mit einem weitestgehend geschlossenen System. Den herkömmlichen Android-Tablet-Nutzer hat Bezos definitiv nicht Fokus. |

Da bin ich ja froh, dass ich mir noch einen K3 zugelegt habe. Mein Kaufgrund war ja gerade "kein Touchscreen", "eInk" und "simpel". Wenn da jetzt ein volles Tablet draus wird, ist es ja nicht mehr wirklich ein reiner eReader.

Für mich ist ein 7zoll Tablet zu klein, da ich es als Ergänzung zu Notebook, Netbook und E-Ink Reader hauptsächlich als PDF Lesegerät rechtfertigen würde. Dafür sollte es dann aber schon was in Richtung 10zoll sein. Klar das Surfen auf der Couch wird dadurch auch angenehmer.
Amazon geht es wohl mit seiner neuen Tablet Sparte auch eher darum im Markt für Filmverleih stärker Fuß zu fassen. Da packe ich dann wohl doch lieber noch etwas Geld oben drauf und warte auf das Ipad 3 bzw. ein 10zoll Android Tablet schnäppchen im nächsten Jahr. |

Ein 10" Android kommt ja mit dem A10 von Pocketbook. Mir hingegen reichen 7". Mir ist das iPad schon manchmal zu schwer und unhandlich.

Ich hab nen 7"er, und für unterwegs finde ich ihn fast perfekt, aber bein KindleTab scheint sich ja jetzt schon wieder ein proprietäres Amazon-Android abzuzeichnen, also ein NoGo.
Das PB Tab finde ich eigentlich auch sehr interessant, das könnte evtl. meinen Laptop als Haupt Computer ablösen |

Laut Techcrunch könnte es nächste Woche für das 7Zoll Tablet soweit sein, ein 10Zoll gibt es wohl erst nächstes Jahr.

Mal ehrlich: Ist 7 Zoll nicht ein bißchen klein für ein Tablet? Die knapp 10 Zoll vom iPad sind eigentlich 'ne nette Sache, wenn's um eine praktikable Displaygröße geht...
