Was it Thunderball? I suppose I can't hedge my bet with both Nancy and Tom for Thunderball? No? Ok, lets go with Nancy Sinatra for Thunderball then.
If memory serves me Carly Simon also did one, the one that had Ringo Starr's girlfriend or wife playing a Russian spy that falls in love with 007. |

Logically, Nancy Sinatra must have done You Only Live Twice then. Carly Simon's song was something like No One Does It Better. I'm right on the movie though? |

Don't fret - I've added your correct answers to the quiz Bilbo
Rather than responding to individual posts that are correct - I'm adding your answers to the original quiz question. Play on! Plenty of opportunity to wrest the lead from kumabjorn! Last edited by poohbear_nc; 10-12-2012 at 03:21 PM. |

That is where I'm stuck. I know I should know it, but I can't get it out. It is lodged some far place back in my brain, but it refuses to come out. I guess it might come to me in my sleep, but i will be too late by then. Oh well...

I know this is taken, but I wanted to add some trivia. The original song for this film should have been "Mr Kiss Kiss Bang Bang", and was recorded by Shirley Bassey, I think. This title song was replaced in the last minute by "Thunderball" with Tom Jones, but is still included as bonus track on most dvds of this film.
I know you are referring to the newest Bond film here, but "Casino Royale" was also recorded back in the 60's, with Peter Sellers as Bond. It's a very different Bond from the others, so it's not considered part of the Bond legacy. I don't even think it was MGM who made it. The title song, however, was with Herb Albert. Edit: Another Bond film from the 60's, normally not considered "legacy" is Never say never (again?), staring Sean Connery. The title song was the same as the film title, but I don't remember the artist Last edited by Iznogood; 10-12-2012 at 06:08 PM. |

It must have been either On her majesty's secret service or Licence to kill. I'm guessing On her Majesty's Secret Service, since I have a vague rememberence of this song with an unusual Bond

Also, when Tom Jones asked how the producers wanted him to sing it, they played Goldfinger's theme for him and told him to sing as loudly as he could! Kind of a male Shirley Bassey. I was unaware of the Peter Sellers "Casino Royale" |
