Question Do footnotes/endnotes work in FB2?

FB2 format has the option to show "Footnotes at page bottom" but it seems not working. In Book Designer view if you put the mouse in a footnote it appears as popup, but when exported to FB2 format, HanLin does not shows them at bottom in current page, not in BeBook firmware and not in HanLin one.

Do I need to do any special thing in Book Designer or HanLin to get them working?

I don't have my EZ Reader yet, but I think footnotes are found using menu -> "follow link" and then menu -> "Navigate back". The Hanlin manual I have does not cover this though.

It seems HanLin menu does not have those options...

My EZReader has arrived, and so far I can tell the "follow link" approach is for MOBI only. Do you have a copyright free example with footnotes I could try?
