Notovitch, Nicolas: The Unknown Life of Jesus Christ. 17 Jan 2009
When first published in the late 19th century, this book caused major problems for many organized religions. It was denounced from many and banned in some countries. This is a copy of the 1890 US edition that was translated from Russian to French to English.
For those of you that have gone through the two volumes of reigion texts in the Harvard Classics I posted some time back, you may have noticed a pattern between the teachings of Hindi, Budda, and Christ. One of the great unknowns in Christianity is what happened to Jesus for the eighteen or so years -- the missing years -- between ages 13 and 30/31. If the accounts in this book are to be believed, he went to the India and Nepal region.
