Question Kobo aura is frozen

My kobo aura one is frozen at this screen. I have tried hard reset but with no success. The computer does not recognize the device. Can someone help me fix it? Thank you.

Hook it up with a wall charger adapter and if it won't respond, leave it charging overnight.

Try a different cable, charger.

I can still turn on / off the computer, the screen shows 5 dots and the language selection is stuck.
Someone talks about brick, I don't know very well.
English is not my language, excuse me for not expressing it clearly.

Watching the video, the device does not appear to be frozen. It looks more like the touch has stopped working. If it has been opened, you can check all the cables and make sure they are connected correctly. Have you tried other languages? I can see you are touching the top two, but, check whether the touch works further down.

Ensuring the battery is charged is always a good idea. But, from the video, again, I think this has happened. And the touch isn't working when plugged in. I suppose it is possible that the battery has just enough power to do the factory reset, but ran out when the language selection screen was displayed. If that is the case, leaving it plugged in for a while should restart it and you can try the setup then. The battery in these are old enough that they might not hold much charge.

The PC is not seeing it as it has to get to the next screen. Once the language is selected, it should prompt for WiFi or PC setup. Selecting the latter would then activate the USB. But, try turning it off and then plugging it in and turning it on. I can't remember if there is a difference in behaviour after a factory reset and it is plugged in when turned on.

The only other thing I can think of is booting from the external SD card. The Aura has fixed internal storage and we cannot image that. But, they can be booted from the external SD card using an image from the Aura H2O. That would help to test if it the touch failing or something else. I can supply the image if you want to try.

OK, but, you need to enable Private Messaging. This is in the "Edit Options" of the control panel. If this isn't there, it has to be added somehow. You can try posting in https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=319819 to ask it to be enabled, or contact a moderator.
