Dark Theme for the main GUI

Hi everyone,

I have searched the forum but haven't come across a solution to my problem which is not being able to set a dark theme for calibre's main GUI.

If this is somehow possible (preferably on end-user level) I would appreciate it very much if you could show me how.
And if not,
Dear Kovid and all other calibre developers,
Can you please consider this functionality as a request for future releases.

Thanks in advance...

The Job Spy plug-in has a GUI Tool that allows you to change the colors of most things in the "Library View", including the various text colors. That is the closest solution there is at this time.

calibre uses the system theme colors automatically (assuming Qt was able to detect them correctly and you have set it to use the system style -- which requires setting the CALIBRE_USE_SYSTEM_THEME on linux or changing the preference under Look & feel on other operating systems.
