solar cell energy

This may be a stupid question, but is it not possible to use solar cell battery (rechargable with solar energy) in the reader??

When you look at ebay and search for USB SOLAR CHARGER you can find a new charger for as much as $ 8.99. Buy it and you have yourself a solar powered ereader

Unless you're going to be seriously "away from civilization", though, it's probably not worth it. Given that it will charge from any USB power source, there's a huge range of charging options available.

I was just looking at my calculator, working on rechargable solar batteries, as the reader uses little energy it should be possible just with a couple of cells on the top, so you don't have to recharge at all, as it recharges itself as you read?

Lithium Ion batteries need a certain minimum "charge current". I'm not at all sure that can be achieved using a solar panel - at least not with a small one.
