Sticky Threads

As Sticky threads increase they tend to overwhelm the visibility of threads in the remainder of each forum.

Would it be possible to have an option to group the stickies into an area which can then be minimised ?

[ps Why is there no thread prefix for the Pocketbook sub ?]

And me makes nr 5. Right now, when I enter the Lounge, I can't even see the most current post unless I scroll down...

Having an option to minimize the stickies would be a useful feature to implement, if possible.

I understand if this issue is still being decided, but to clear up a little room in the lounge couldn't these 4 stickies be moved to the "introduce yourself" subforum which has very few stickies.

(they seem like they would fit fine there anyways since they are directed towards the new people to begin with)

It's becoming true in a lot of the forums. Maybe there needs to be a bit of housecleaning, and un-stickying threads that were stickied when they were new/important/essential, but whose time has passed?

I say a single stickied thread titled something like "universal sticky" and all of the stickies linked on the first post.

Actually a subforum would be easier to manage and offers more functionality. I suggested that about a year ago but the other mods thought people needed to see all the stickies everytime they entered the forum so I got out voted. Perhaps this thread will reopen the idea.
