Can convert pdf to lrf only once? Then DRM'd.
I have converted some pdf books to lrf fomat for my PRS-505 with no problem the first time trough. Then after learning about Caliber more, used the ISBN web tool and got the cover pages and synops for my books. Now I want to have these as my cover pages instead of the first page as the cover.
It seems you have to include the cover when you convert the book from pdf to lrf to get the new cover art. This is when I realized, I could not convert the book a second time with Caliber. It now says that the pdf is DRM-ed. What is up with that? Any suggestions or explanations for this? Concerned. Last edited by Deadalus; 08-20-2009 at 01:09 PM. |

PDF files often have no copying and no printing flags set, which Calibre respects. These are easy to remove, and in fact most Open Source PDF applications ignore them completely.
However, I don't think you need to reconvert the PDF to get the new cover page. You just need to re-export the LRF version. |
