There was a 5.3.2 firmware update for the Kindle Touch a week or so ago. That, presumably, is why the PW's gone from 5.3.1 to 5.3.3.

Am I the only one who thinks it is sad that a wifi enabled PW can't directly download a system update? I understand the USB transfer method overcomes wifi problems. But my wifi is working fine.

Perhaps it is because the file is so large? 171.6MB could take a while to transfer....

If you don't sideload the update yourself, it will arrive over wifi eventually. I am not sure why we can't force a download via wifi though, that would be easier.

Easier than what? The whole update took me less than two minutes; downloading the file to my iMac, then connecting my Kindle to transfer the file, then updating the software on the Kindle.
