Error: startup error

Having trouble with Calibre. When I try to run I get a box with the startup error message and then a drop down box with this.

Calibre has worked before not sure if this is from a new update or what. I tried to use an older version but I still got the same error.

I'd be more concerned with

To my eyes that sounds like a possible hardware issue. Might I suggest checking the Windows system log for errors, and ensure you have a backup!

That error indicates that the ReadFile system call is failing, which is most likely a hardware error. Your disk is likely failing. Try running scandisk to check your drive for errors.

That did it. Must have been something wrong. Ran scandisk and afterword Calibre started right up. Thanks for the help guys.

If I were you, I'd look into replacing that disk as soon as possible.
