Did anyone order the Casebot (?) Oasis leather cover that came out earlier this year? Some reviews were positive, others said it wasn’t real leather. Just curious...

I have the original leather cover, but by the time I bought it, it had been reduced to $40. I also bought the leather covers for the Voyage and Kindle Paperwhite (and DX, and Kindle 2). I don’t want the suede effect again, and I got a deal on the new fabric one for $10. That’s why $65 suddenly screamed out as being insane. All in all, I will have spent $90 on covers for this Oasis (one original fabric at time of release, one original suede after discounted due to poor reviews, and now this new type). |

I did. It smells like leather and feels very soft to hold. It's the best cover I've bought for my Oasis 2. I've bought more covers for the Oasis than any other device I've owned, looking for just the right one like Goldilocks , too hard , too cheap, too heavy, this one was just right for me.

Thanks! I love my Fintie cover, but I’d want the leather one of something happened to it.

My bargain cover arrived, and I’m very pleased with it. My Oasis feels snug and safe. Plus it’s my favorite color.

I bought a Kindle Oasis 2 and a case. I always use a case and the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite case is, in my opinion, worth the money. Then I got an email saying the case would be available for two months. Then, I read Kindle responding to complaints by saing the case wasn't intended to offer protection but rather was to "personalize" the Oasis.
I sent the Oasis 2 back. Now I'm waiting for my Paperwhite 4. |

Why is that a problem? If the case would be available for two months, could you not have bought it within that two month period?

My only fear is that a case that grips the back of my kindle somehow hurts my device. I have now had my Oasis v2 for a year but after selling my v1 I would gladly sell it or give it away if I could get one larger or with an integrated battery cover. Actually I can determine these are not popular devices based on the fact they don't have a battery cover that connects via USB to replace the missing functionality :'(

I wasn't going to answer as Harry summed it up pretty accurately. But here in China we can buy battery packs from Xiaomi (20000 mah) for 120 yuan. It is ridiculous.
My advice isn't unique but you could probably get one almost as cheap, lower capacity maybe but just as useful as the v2 charges quicker. And if you carry around stuff in a little bag for easy access like I do then you can also use it to charge your phone! Or find a Chinese partner to produce your own battery cover :P |
