I just saw that on Engadget a few minutes ago, too. Pretty sweet deal. I'm guessing the Streak wasn't a big seller on its own.

No, the Streak sold quite well, inspite of what was a textbook example of the worst marketing ever. Simply because the Streak is the best phone ever made, period. But the new version with double core processors is coming out in April, so they are trying to clear the old stock.

I see. I just figured Dell would have estimated how many units they'd need in inventory to last until the release of the next version. I thought it would have sold out on its own. Who knows, there may not be a lot of them left over anyway.

I bought a Dell laptop for my husband in December and the special offer then was a Dell Mini for $199.99.

People have reported that they cancelled their laptops but the Streaks still came. They were only charged $94 or their Steaks.

I'd sooner give up my steak than the $94.

Seriously, if they did it intentionally, then thats unethical. They defrauded Dell.

the streak felt like a novel device to me. but it seems more and more like a test product.
got mine for 549gbp and it now retails at 399gbp after under 6 months.

this i consider is a real bad investment..
