No Covers in Newspapers on Kindle DX

I just unwrapped my new DX and immediately tried out newspapers downloaded with calibre. I am SO happy with how it's displayed on the Kindle - just like the paid subscriptions would

But, there is one little thing that, if fixed, would get the perfect morning paper:

When opening the Newspaper on the Kindle (NY Times in my case), it doesn't display the New York Times logo on the top of the sections list and at the beginning of each section. I tried to just add the logo to the .mobi file via the recipe but as it is stored automatically in a separate file (even when that is checked off in the preferences), it is not being transfered to the kindle. Right now, instead of the Cover it shows the Calibre logo.

Anyone any suggestions how to get the paper's cover up there?
