It's a nephew!
I've just spoken on the phone with my brother - and it's a nephew! My first, too He was born yesterday evening after a long labour (poor sis-in-law!) They don't know what to call him yet Typical of them, they take their time with things. And no visiting until later in the week - they want to take it quiet and get their "sea legs" as parents first so to speak (he's their first).

well, of course you're excited, it's the first ! nobody knows yet what they're in for. actually you can be excited for all of them, as the auntie. you can just give them back to the parents when you have had enough.

Congratulations Ea, so now you're going to be busy babysitting the next couple of years Little toddlers can be adorable when they're not screaming
You might need to put your roller skates on, when the time comes: Last edited by thinkpad; 08-16-2010 at 03:58 PM. |

Thanks! I'm looking forward to when the user interface matures a bit, and spoken words can be used for mutually meaningful interaction

Think about all the wonderful books you will be able to read to him. Astrid Lindgren and H.C. Andersen certainly comes to mind.

Absolutely Though I think Norse mythology, Grimm's Fairy tales and Arabian Nights. The good stuff (my dad got me addicted at a young age). Never really loved H.C. Andersen much. |
