How can this be both LCD and e ink?

I think they mean there is a choice of two different models - one fitted with e-ink and the other fitted with LCD.

Ah, okay, thanks for the clarification. A bit disappointing, if so, as I was hoping this meant a color e ink début that they had somehow managed to keep quiet about.

You will also notice that several company's blur the difference as well such as Ectaco and Aluratek plus some other LCD based players. They may not claim it to be e-ink but have no problem in calling it e-paper or electronic paper etc.

To the novice this could be taken for e-ink.

Also e-ink is evolving into touch screen and possibly color in the future.
Right now it's black and white beads but in the future them may be able to expand that.
