Question about the 'preloaded books' sqlite file.

Hi,
Proud new owner of a black Kobo here.

I used calibre to delete all of the preloaded books. (I just felt cleaning the book list up.) The koboreader.sqlite file is still the original ~100KB size though.

Does it stay that way, or is there something I can do to free up the space from the deleted books? ie. resetting the device..

______

Also, chapters in Canada has these leather covers in stock:

I bought a 'Salt and Pepper' one, very good quality, nice soft leather and a neoprene-like inner layer. A bit tight to insert the Kobo at first, but it should stretch out.

Thanks,

Thanks,
The original sqlite file is actually 100MB, not 100KB, so you have actually freed the space.

If it worries you just plug the Kobo in, access it as a USB drive and delete the sqlite file. When you next boot it it will rebuild a minimal file without the preloaded books.

You are wise, tpw.
I'd been playing with the device for a few hours, wasn't thinking properly.

Thanks again,
