Smile How to transfer books from Kindle 3 to Sony ebook PRS 505

Is it possible to transfer books from my Kindle 3 to my wife's Sony reader PRS 505? I believe that this is possible using Calibre. If anyone can help(very simply) for my aging brain,I should be very grateful.
Cheers

Hello and welcome to Mobileread.

It is possible to convert books between the various formats with varying degrees of success. In order to use Calibre as the converter, though, the books in the Kindle format will have to be non-secured (No DRM).

Good to have your company, Pete. Calibre can do a heck of a lot, but it can't convert files locked by DRM software. Stripping DRM ain't too difficult. There are instructions all over the net. We can't discuss it here at MobileRead, though, because -- no matter how morally justified it might be -- it's illegal. Good luck and best wishes. Neil
