I normally give a series three chances, and having heard many good things about the Harriet Vane stories, I might try her debut as the next one. As long as it doesn't include more "I'm getting paid by the word" passages like the ones cited above.

I was not really enjoying The Children's Book, so I have put it on hold and started listening to Marisha Pessl's Night Film.

I am still reading Ada Palmer's third installment in her Terra Ignota series The Will to Battle on my Kobo.

Also working through Naoki Urasafantasticoto Tezuka's fantastic Pluto series in paper.

Gave up on Promise of Blood and started a romance novel Love in Catalina Cove by Brenda Jackson. Already enjoying it. Guess I'm not into fantasy books much lately.
