Just ordered a signature paperwhite. Really hope the metallic back isnt like the Oasis case - I get sweaty hands

Ordered a case anyways, but I like to take the case off in the house. Really don't want to have to return the signature for the standard if the case is an issue :/

I think “Metallic black” is only related to the shade of color.
If the back was metallic, it wouldn’t support wireless charging…

Good point. None of the press release hands-on reviews made any comments on the differences on the backs, so I'm hoping you're correct!

The Colorsoft is interesting. Not sure if display will look better than the Libra Colour given that it is assumed to use the same technology. I had thought the rumors were that a new technology for color would be used by Amazon. Also somewhat bummed that a version with physical page turn buttons was not introduced. I am guessing this latest announcement, without page turn buttons, puts a nail in the coffin of Amazon ever going back to that again.

Hands on review says that the backing has some aluminum plating in it, but doesn't feel metalic - more plastic feel.

I think i'm good then

Seen a short on youtube and at least by these first videos, colors seems better than kobo and other kaleido.
Still wouldnt buy anyway, but im curious to see actual reviews in the future
