How to free up internal memory of BOOX device (Boox go 6)?
This is my first time using an e-reader so I'm a bit clueless. I hope you can help me.
I'm using Boox go 6. The internal memory is 32GB, after the basic setup, there is still ~20GB available. I store books on an external memory card, and there are a lot of books. When creating a library and scanning books from the memory card, I noticed that the free memory of the device is also decreasing slowly according to the number of books imported. I think the device also uses the internal memory to manage the library. However, when I delete a few libraries, even delete the entire library, the device's memory is still not freed up. For example: When I add 1 library, the available internal memory is ~18GB When there are 2 libraries, ~16GB When there are 3 libraries, ~12GB And when I delete the entire library, the available memory is still ~12GB. If I add a new library, it immediately drops to ~11GB or less, depending on how many books I add. |

Mmm, I'm not sure what you mean by "library". Normally you only have one library with content possibly spread over different locations. I have /sdcard/Books with most of my stuff with /sdcard/ADE for the OverDrive stuff.
As I don't use the Boox library/reader app I'm the least authority on any of this. It could be that you put books somewhere and they are imported to somewhere else. When you delete where you put them the imported books remain. Can you still see them in the library app? It could also be that the "disk space" utility is not showing the updated values. |

Yes, we have a library tab to display the library function.
And in it, we can create sub-libraries (even multiple levels) to manage the scanned books. I put the book in the micro sd card and have a link to scan it. I did not select any scan path from the internal memory of the device. And there is no book hidden in the device memory. I reset it to factory settings, maybe I have to do that. I also tried using Librera to manage the book as a library, but when I open the book, it will create a copy in the device memory. So I gave up on this method. |

I went back, and I found out why.
A folder containing the book cover thumbnails was created, and it didn't go away, even when the library was deleted. And I had to connect to the computer to see that hidden folder. |
