how to perm disable the 3g for nook?

i think i know what is preventing my nook from the network unavailable problem. it seems that whenever i tried to check for new b&n content in my library with wifi turned on, the 3g signal will also be turned on and thus im having the network unavailable problem. as i believed the 1.1.0 will make nook to check for 3g signal first if not even with wifi turned on eveything will be useless and rendered it as network unavailable even with wifi turned on. as i do not stay in US and eveything works fine last mth till lately im having this problem. so does any1 knows how to perm disable the 3g thingy???

thanks.

Wow. Crosspost much?

I'll reply here for the benefit of these folks too.

Maybe try just pulling the SIM card form the back of the nook. It might complain, it might just continue with 3G
