I tried replacing table with div as suggested by @jackie_w, it works.

Actually, I didn't suggest replacing <table> with <div>. I said I suspected the <table> was the root of the problem (although I still don't know why that would be).

My "solution" was going to be to use the kobopatch system to force a bit of extra generic CSS, namely table{font-size:100%}, which is what worked for me.

Anyway, it doesn't really matter. If you've found a different way around it that works for the people who want to use these dictionaries and which doesn't rely on kobopatch, all credit to you.

Anyway you helped me a lot by finding the font-size problem of table tag.

Last week, I closed @meo_map13's issue because I thought the dict file is not the cause (v4.23.15548 and earlier still displayed normally).
Without you, I'm probably still praying for an update from Kobo, along with a small dictionary.

be recognize?

This rigmarole to customize the dictionary's layout and font, is one of the reason I'm using KOreader. I and many users have already raised the issue. I hope in the future firmwares the popup dictionary will easily customizable rightly from the ereader, as already happens for the epubs and other formats
