Calibre books disappeared

I had several books on Calibre. I just opened it and it said there were 0 books. I checked my folders in my documents and the calibre folder is empty.

I have not done anything to the program. I added a book last night and it was fine and I have not opened it until now.

The thought of re-formatting all those books again (especially if they might disappear again) is not appealing.

have you looked in the recycle bin and/or done a search for the filename/title of one or two of the books?
I have been using calibre since april and accidentally deleted books once, but they were in recycle bin.
I back up to a separate drive every so often as stuff happens, but have had no book removals by calibre except due to operator error.

Well, I had saved many of my books to a flash drive but some before formatting so will have to add and format again. I had over 200 and don't want to do it one at a time. I decided to just add each book as I want to read it.

I really haven't even been using the computer so not sure how that happened. Thanks for the response.
