Double Page Turn
I have noticed something interesting with the GLO. It seems that every so often when I tap it to turn the page it doesn't do the page turn. Then when I go ahead and tap it again it ends up turning two pages. I thought this was a matter of me being a bit too impatient so I have tried waiting a few seconds to see if the first tap eventually happens and no luck. I suspect it is something to do with the refresh. I have run into this with two seperate GLO's so it isn't a hardware issue. Perhaps a bug to be squashed in a future update?
Anyone else running into this? |

I have 2 double page turns on my Glo during the span of one whole book. To me that's acceptable. I find it is really sensitive.

I definitely had it happen with the Touch.
Never encountered it on the Glo so far. |

I haven't come across it yet with the books I've read so far on my Glo (touch wood and all those good luck tricks), my Kindle Touch however drove me batty doing just this. It seems to be squashed by upgrading the firmware most time from my memory of other occurrences.

Hmm, my Glo ignored my tap on a couple of occasions, but I don't recall it registering two touches when I tapped again.

Still is a common problem on Touches. [including mine, at 2.0.0; also getting spontaneous reboots, too, from the SD card problem, despite never having had that particular problem in previous revisions :/]

Not had double page turn.
But about half dozen times I swear I've turned the page and seen the screen change only to end up reading the same page. Am I going mad? |

One of the reasons I like 2.1.4 is that it is sure and fast with page turns. Problem licked I would say.

did you possibly have the menu showing at the time? it takes one tap to close any type of menu and one to turn the page. if this isn't the case, it's not that i think you're daft or anything...it's cause it took me awhile to notice it myself

This was one of the reasons I returned my Kobo Touch - it drove me crazy.

I didn't mind the Touch page turn, but the Glo is superior. I don't know if there's much of an improvement to the screen/touch technology itself, maybe it's just the extra CPU power. It is sensitive without being *too* sensitive.
