White line on the screen

I've recently bought a Ebookwise 1150, and now the
screen displays a white line over the entire length of the
screen.
It runs trough the text and other items in the screen.
It's quite small, everything is still legible, but if there
is any way to solve this I would like to know.

You can try reseting the device using the paper clip hole in the back under the cover. If that doesn't fix it then you will likely need to do a warranty exchange.

I've tried resetting, that did not work. As of today another white line appeared, it's more than likely permanent damage to the screen, I've had the same problem with another ebookreader of mine.

Since I've imported the reader from the USA a warranty exchange is sadly not really an option.

I would suggest you contact eBook Technologies, the maker of the unit. They will likely have a way to get it fixed for you.

I already mailed them. It takes them a while to answer queries, so I'm still waiting for an answer.

Hopefully they can help me.

Hi, please let me know if you've found a solution. I am in the same situation with my Sony Reader 505.

Replace it under warranty, that's the solution I've found.
It's more than likely permanent damage to the screen.
I've had the same problem with my Franklin Ebookman, [the lines are horizontal instead of vertical with the Ebookman], which I bought secondhand so no warranty there.
Good luck!
