Sync Kobo with Calibre?
Hi,
I'm still a new user when it comes to Calibre, and I really like it a lot. I have a question though. I have a fairly large (~2000) ebook library that I like to keep in full on my Kobo Glo and Kobo Mini. However, I'm adding new stuff to it all the time in Calibre, and I would like to be able to plug in my Kobo and either manually or automatically have Calibre copy over the new ebooks- *only* the new ebooks. At the rate and randomness the library grows trying to remember which ones are new and cherry-picking them out for copying is not going to work. Does Calibre have this functionality built in or is there a plugin for it? Thanks! |

I'm not at my PC right now but when the Kobo (or any other device) is attached the Library view has an additional column "On Device". Sort by that column and it will then be easy to select all the books that are not on the device and do a right click, send to device.

With the device connected (and settled)
On-device will be blank for books not on the device Sort on date (click column title) Note this is the date the line was created, not always when a format is available) (this pre-biases by the date sort) Now So Sort on On device so the blanks are at the top Now you can choose and send to device |

I ultimately discovered this way by accident too, just now. Thanks for the tips.
There really isn't any sync plugin/etc., though? |

There is for instance the Reading List plugin, which allows you to add books to a list that will be auto-synced when the unit is attached to calibre.
This lets you build up a list of books to be synced, and when the device is next attached, they are sent and the list is emptied. |

One more idea. Take a look at the SmartEject plugin.
