How to get your Amazon Kindle info into Calibre
If you get Kindle for PC on your computer find the following file...
C:\Users\MyPC\AppData\Local\Amazon\Kindle\Cache\Ki ndleSyncMetadataCache.xml Make a copy of it and open it in excel or another type of program, format it to match what you need in your Calibre Library, then save as a .csv file and use the import list plugin to enter the data. It only shows what you have in the Content and Devices page, but if you haven't gone through and deleted books from it, they should all be listed. Also whatever library books you have had will also be listed. It shows the ASIN, title, author, date published, date purchased and some other data that I basically chuck out. But those columns listed are perfect to format into your Calibre library. If not this, then do what I used to always do... Copy and paste that content and devices list after scrolling down into Word and format it to open in excel and save as a csv |
