Is there a way to create covers from the 1st pages of PDFs?
To save typing, I copied the metadata from another book, pasted, and edited as appropriate. I copied the cover in the process. If I delete that wrong cover, I am left with a placeholder.

It's still a lot of work. I have to select each pdf, select the option to use the cover for the cover wait for it show the 1st 10 pages, select the 1st page, and move to the next pdf. Some way to automate this would be very handy.
I've got something like 3,500 pdfs already imported, maybe 500 have screwed-up covers. I wonder if deleting covers from each pdf file would get Calibre to check the 1st page. Last edited by MarjaE; 04-24-2021 at 03:16 PM. |
