Library Maintenance
Hello all.
I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but I can't find the answer anywhere in the forum. Here is my issue: My library has approx 14,000 books in it. I have discovered that I have many "empty" directories; either completely empty, or just a metadata file. Also, a lot of duplicate files. I am trying to find an easier way to clean it up rather than going line by line deleting, merging etc. I read of using something called "Library Maintenance", but cannot find it in the program. so cannot run it. I tried the "format:false" search, but that came up blank. How do I run the maintenance tool? Or, is there a better method? Many thanks |

Library Maintenance is under the icon with your library name. It should be the bottom most item with several sub-options. I think you want "Check Library".

And that checks the Integrity of the Library, not the content.
BUT You should run this every so often. Glitches happen (as well as rogue A/V) My recommendation is 2 fold 1) Quality Check plugin. Use this to identify issues. There are MANY tests it can perform. When the dust settles 2)Find Duplicates And for grins: Manage Series |

The infrequent "glitches" I get are invariably caused by the me.
Not Windows, Defender, MWB, Content Indexers, or any other software, nor any of the hardware - always by the damn liveware I have installed on the keyboard. BR |
