Calibre and kobo books
I got kobo for desktop but can not find where the books are downloaded. Any ideas on where to look? I found a kobo folder on my pc but no books in it which is odd. Or is there a special trick? Sorry if this was asked before. I could not find the answer yet here

The easiest way to get the books into calibre is to use the Obok plugin which is part of the DeDRM package. |

Forget about looking in the directories for the kepubs. Getting a book from there will work if it doesn't have DRM. But, if it does, you need to remove the DRM. Using the Obok plugin that is part of the DRM tools will display the books that have been downloaded by the Kobo desktop application. Then you can use it to add the book to the calibre library and remove DRM at the same time.
An alternative to doing this is to download the books from your library on the Kobo site. This gets ePubs rather than kepubs. If the book doesn't have DRM, it will be downloaded directly. If it does have DRM, it will be downloaded via ADE and you will need the DRM tools. |
