How to install koreader on Kobo Aura H2O using Linux?

Hello,

I would like to be able to highlight texts in PDFs while using kobo aura h20.

I went to this page: https://koreader.rocks/ and tried to "Download the latest install package for KFMon" via https://pbchess.vlasovsoft.net/files/kobo/fmon.zip

This was not possible because the file was "not found".

Any tips as to how I can install koreader? I know next to nothing about computers, so please consider this in case you wish to explain how I might proceed.

Thank you for any help you can offer.

Do we mention that link somewhere? I don't see it on https://github.com/koreader/koreader...n-Kobo-devices

The easiest method is to use https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...96&postcount=2
In that case the script will do everything for you.

Hello,

I clicked on the link and followed the instructions. Then, I got the error message: "could not open install.sh".
I don't know how to fix this problem.

If your DE doesn't have a "Run under <terminal app here>" entry in its right-click context menu, you'll have to do this in a terminal yourself. (i.e., `bash install.sh`).

It might hopefully have an "Open a terminal in this directory" option instead, otherwise you'll have to `cd` in the right folder first.

A crew member (enigma 9o7) on the Bodhi Linux forum helped me with the installation:

Here are instructions for installing koreader using terminal. Remember to paste each line one at a time:

sudo apt install wget unzip
cd /tmp
wget https://storage.gra.cloud.ovh.net/v1...r-v2024.01.zip
wget https://storage.gra.cloud.ovh.net/v1...ix_install.zip
unzip kfm_nix_install.zip
chmod +x install.sh
./install.sh
