PDF converts 2 pages to 1

I have downloaded an EPUB cookbook and it looks absolutely fine in EPUB or MOBI (have converted). Reading it as an E-Book, each page is correct, including the cover.

I'd like to convert to a PDF so as to print one or two of the most used recipes (the same I do with online stuff) so I keep them in plastic folders. When I convert to PDF, everything is perfectly readable but although the cover fully fills the first page portrait A4, the rest of the book prints two pages to an A4 page. Is there a way to add some limiters somewhere to force it to do 1 page per 'page' in the PDF?

export as docx, edit in Word or LO Writer, export from either of those as PDF.

You can use the calibre editor to insert page breaks in the epub or a conversion setting to do the same automatically if the internal markup in the cookbook is consistent.

@suecsi - try printing the EPUB to a PDF from the calibre Viewer, then use your PDF viewer to print the required pages. I've done this on many occasions to print selected pages on paper… or save selected passages to send to other folks.
