Meet-Up! reminder: Paris Meet-up: 25 October

Remember, the second Parisian apéro is coming soon.

LA TROTTINETTE
Sicilian bar / restaurant

23, rue de la Fontaine au Roi
Paris 11th arrondissement
Métro Goncourt (line 11)
or if you prefer Parmentier (line 3) or République (lines 3, 5, 8, 9, 11)

The plan is that we meet for drinks at about 6.30 and some of us will stay and dine there. The proprieter cooks fresh Sicilian food: home-made pasta and bread, with exclusively fresh ingredients, around 60% organic products. lots of vegetables which will make the vegetarians happy for once ! but the carnivores can have a steak if they prefer ! appetizers are at 7.50€, main course 12€, dessert 6€ (glass of beer 2.50€).

Well the Paris meet-up was last night. There were about 15 people for drinks, and eight stayed for dinner. The company included four mods: Alex, Zelda, Hadrien and me. The people from Bookeen didn't come. There was a friendly atmosphere and we all had a very good time.
The devices included the Sony PRS500, Sony PRS505, several Cybooks, some PDAs, an ebookwise 1150, an Asus EEE etc.

hee ! among the devices present were :
- eb1150
- at least two cybook gen3
- sony 500 and 505 (and one broken one, *snif* !)
- a very old not old at all Tungsten T5 palm with über cool folding infrared keyboard
- a blackberry
- an EEE

(please let me know if i've missed any).

oh, and although i completely forgot to show anyone this feature, my telephone, with which i also took the piccies, can read books packaged as java apps from booksinmyphone.com.

that wasn't my plate, so i'm not sure what was on it, but the food was yummy. it was sicilian cuisine with all fresh ingredients, majority of organic products, home-made bread and pasta, real mozzarella di buffala and lots of vegetables. the wine was very good too.
