Nook Book Club?

A while back I ran across a club that Barnes & Noble had where you joined a club for $49/ year and you got a portion of that toward a Nook upgrade. Also, you had access to books that you could borrow and a program to exchange physical books for ebooks. Does that program still exist? I have not been able to find it again.

thanks,
Ricky

To the best of my knowledge B&N has never had such a club.

You might have read something on their Book Club forum as there have been a few 'wishful thinking' threads about the idea of ebooks for pbooks there over the years.

It wasn't a 'book club' but the B&N membership 'club'. They don't seem to have the $49 discount any more.

That's their regular member program for paper book buyers. Not something where you can borrow books or trade pbooks for ebooks. For a short time you could get a one time discount on Nook hardware and that was about it.
