Ich befürchte, E-ink ist tod und es werden nur noch Tablets, Telefons, und Connected devices (Uhr, Armband, Armbanduhr...) entwickelt....

Ich erwarte leider keine super Innovation im Bereich E-reading ...

*Es würde völlig ausreichen, wenn Amazon endlich eine GPL-lizenzierte ePub-Software (CoolReader, FB Reader usw.) standardmäßig vorinstalliert. Dass das problemlos funktioniert, haben die Hacker im Kindle Developers-Forum bereits gezeigt.
Das Nichtvorhandensein einer ePub-Lesesoftware ist für viele potenzielle Kindle-Käufer ein KO-Kriterum, und da es nicht übermäßig Entwicklungskosten verursachen würde, die bereits fertig entwickelten ePub-Programme an die Kindle-Firmware anzupassen, verstehe ich ehrlich gesagt nicht, warum Amazon das nicht macht.
Ein Kindle Paperwhite, der außer der Kindle-Firmware noch eine RMSDK-basierte ePub-Software hätte, wäre die eierlegende Wollmilchsau.

Wir haben jetzt das 2. Quartal und offenbar kommt dann doch kein neuer PW auf dem Markt.

Nachdem es schon zwei (?) Reader, Kobo Aura und Tolino Vision, mit planer Oberfläche gibt, hätte ich vermutet, dass Amazon noch schnell eine Generation zwischen schiebt, statt dessen gibt es jetzt erst mal ein Kindle Fire TV, was ich auch nicht so unspannend finde.

wenn man in den letzten Wochen die neuen EReader sieht hoffe ich das Du unrecht hast, ich denke auch das es langsam einen Trend zu 8" Reader gibt
