This batch of stories was mostly collected from old book scans which are so much easier to process than scans from online newspapers; automatic OCR has trouble with tiny 19th century newspaper type on tatty old newsprint quality paper, where it can take half a day to unscramble one short story.

A couple of Sherlock Holmes spoofs for fun; some "strange" from Quiller-Couch and Bram Stoker; action, romance, swashbuckling... Big names and forgotten names... all in the Life+70 years public domain.
